How can I earn money, without a work visa but with free time, in Montreal?

Um, this is fairly self-explanatory I guess.

Stuff I have tried, so far:

Craigslist - this sucks, here.
McGill.ca classifieds - this is pretty good, it is full of people who want to SCAN MY BRAIN for colourful dolladollabills, I've applied to a bunch.

Ideas I have:
Flyering - I don't really know how to get into this, I guess I'll ask the next dude I see with fliers.
The Internet in some shapeless way - ebay? building and selling off WoW characters?
Tutoring - I reckon I could do this, I have a fancy degree and I really like SAT-type tests, I think with a few days revision I could do this pretty well. I guess the challenge would be getting my name out?
Juggling - nobody likes hiring jugglers.

Tell me your experiences! Leads! Discouragements! Etc.

Can you busk there legally? I would give $ to a Tennyson-quoting cow-suited juggler. Once.

If you could find one of those cow suits, you could make big $$$ (even Canadian $$$) letting people milk you while you performed.

I was checking out the Canadian immigration page and found a list of foreign workers who do not need to have work visas: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/exempt-1.html

You can give seminars, as long as they are 5 days or less. You can be a performing artist, so long as you don't do your thing in bars or restaurants. Also, no radio, TV, or movies. You can judge or referee international competitions.

How about Go seminars?

Sell shit on ebay.... if you got some storage, transport, internet and a credit card. Hell you could live in a van and do it from public libraries. Hit up thrift stores, classified ads and yard sales and you'll be finding stuff to sell in no time.

a lot of people give seminars for $$ here...

ok j/k. but... under-the-table bar work sounds like your best bet right now.

two montreal classics for anglos and other underemployables:
medical guinea pig
telemarketing

tutoring sounds like an option.

Also, Quebec loves a good juggler. Especially if a cat-in-the-hat hat, unicycle, and ponytail are involved.

Mime.

'mime is murder'

Do you like dogs? You could be a dogwalker. Down here in St. Henri there are hundreds of yuppie loft dwellers who work 60 hour weeks and can't give their lonely purebred puppies enough attention. They ALL have dogs.

Okay this is coming together nicely now! First labrat dollars in with loads more leads, I'm gonna go somewhere touristy and juggle this weekend (Old Montreal?), I might be moving furniture, I'll put up ads offering go tuition (good idea!) near the maths buildings, I'm gonna start making T-shirts with iron-ons (anyone know where to get cheap plain Ts in this town? Besides Sally army?). I haven't really figured how to get into flyering here, I never see anyone doing it, this is a great thing about Montreal that I'd feel kinda guilty about messing up. Dogwalking is a great idea, thanks! Clearly I need a cowsuit.
