RFI: Pagan Cultz0rs and Shaman Priestz0rs

Help! My family phone call was even more psycho than average this year. It seems my cousin K is spending $200 a week on going to see shaman priests and the like. She was introduced to pagan stuff by her boyfriend/fiancé who, since moving in with K, does little on the job front and takes the odd class. My mum calls him J the human sponge and wants to forcibly remove him from K's life. He's also into tarot and astrology in a big way and was working as a DJ but he was crap and got canned 18 months ago. He (hearts) paganism and has gotten my cousin into it (I'm not sure what sort they do but they're having matching dragon rings made and he tells K that her problems are all in her gut).

K is really prime fodder to be gulped up by a cult. She's dropped out of every uni course she has ever tried to join, is Hippie Lite, has very few friends now this guy is in her life, is insecure and moody, has gained 40lbs since meeting J and (crucially) is going to inherit a huge trust - millions - when she's 35. My mum and K's lawyer (old family friend) administer the trust. The K I know is a bright, if not exactly confident girl who although a tiny bit spoilt (only child) has a good heart. I've already advised my mum to go meet with some of K's close friends to intervene and also with the lawyer, force J to sign a prenuptial agreement (we think he's going to take her to the cleaners and might leave if his access to money is blocked). On Xmas day itself he tweaked the shit out of my mum by saying 'we' bought this and that and the other thing, causing my mum's Thin Veneer Of Politeness to (almost) crack.

Now my mum and sister are ringing every day going WTF? Anyone have any experience or knowledge of such things? I'm going to have to go home on a Kick Ass, Take Names mission in the next two months so I need ammo.
