This is the last refuge of the twee. Ask about each others' days here. Talk about your socks. Huggle. Claim the twee!

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 05:17 (twenty years ago)

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 05:44 (twenty years ago)

100% WJE (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 05:47 (twenty years ago)

It doesn't involve confectionery. Well it might do.

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 05:50 (twenty years ago)

100% WJE (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 07:44 (twenty years ago)

when i was in jinghong, china (in rural tropical southern china), i randomly met some british dude in some cafe who paid for his trip to asia by selling his sarah records 1-100 collection in its entirety. i love the sugargliders

phil-two (phil-two), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 07:46 (twenty years ago)

my housemate was telling me last night that she used to have an anorak that was signed by members of the pastels, talulah gosh, razorcuts, sea urchins etc etc. it was v. funny!

phil-two (phil-two), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 07:51 (twenty years ago)

So what are Sarah Records up to these days?

Hello Sunshine (Hello Sunshine), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 07:53 (twenty years ago)

> i randomly met some british dude in some cafe who paid for his trip to asia by selling his sarah records 1-100 collection in its entirety

looking at the prices yesterday, the bottom would appear to have fallen out of that market. um, maybe not. a lot of it has only one bid for about a fiver, a lot of it doesn't even get that. sarah 2 is going well though (£28 and counting - more than i paid for mine) as is 3/4 (touching £20 with 5 days left).

ha, that's funny. someone is linking to my website...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Shadow-Factory-Sarah-Records-MEGA-RARE-Compilation-LP_W0QQitemZ4774270973QQcategoryZ2260QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
and it's the yellow / green sleeve i don't have...

koogs (koogs), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 08:04 (twenty years ago)

hmm this was like 2001. maybe he the sarah records story was a cover for his drug smuggling business

phil-two (phil-two), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 08:06 (twenty years ago)

(sarah packed it in when they got to 100 a decade ago now. matt went on to do shinkansen but i don't know what's happening there anymore. he now writes / edits The Smoke magazine. clare worked at kpmg last i heard.)

koogs (koogs), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 08:07 (twenty years ago)

the trembling blue stars just played here in nyc on friday with pas/cal but i forgot to go

phil-two (phil-two), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 08:10 (twenty years ago)

i wanted to go to that but i couldn't for some reason that i now forget.

100% WJE (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 08:11 (twenty years ago)

I love you, Phil.
And I was listening to Dressy Bessy yesterday.
And then a few weeks ago, I though, "I can't find my Aislers Set albums; I wonder if Phil has them."

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 21 September 2006 16:25 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, I've brewed some tea. Would anyone like?

http://www.frontporchcafeonline.com/frontporch/images/merchandis/teapot_1823.jpg

(do you guys think that Bodum teapots are twee? I couldn't decide.)

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Thursday, 21 September 2006 16:40 (nineteen years ago)

Far too long! I'm a librarian now, and I live in Nashville (hence the visit/dancing with Tim H). It's great here!

I think librarianship might be a twee profession.

What have you been up to!?

molly d (mollyd), Thursday, 21 September 2006 19:28 (nineteen years ago)

Your search - tweepot - did not match any documents

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 21 September 2006 20:30 (nineteen years ago)

I have a Bodum tea pot. I also have another tea pot which was given to me by a member of Camera Obscura. Do I win some sort of twee prize?

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 21 September 2006 20:37 (nineteen years ago)

Haha, I have FIVE teapots. Well, my wife has five teapots. The tweest one is probably the little Chinese jade-looking one with matching twee lil' cups.
