Metro or Standard Lite?

Early morning stalwart or lunchtime young pretender? I can't help but think that the Lite is trying a little bit too hard to be Metro-like, as if it was some middle-aged man who wants to get down with his kids and starts wearing a hoodie and listening to Blink 182.

Das Steurmer or Voelkircher Beobachter? It's a tough call.

five months pass...
Do you get angry when people leave the train, they take the metro with them rather than leaving it for others to read like a good citizen?

never read either, except over people's shoulders.

I got a whole Guardian on the train this morning. I'm still pleased about it. However, I was a bad citizen, I picked it up and took it with me. I will leave it on the train tonight when I go home, for the next person.

I was living in Sydney last year, and I went to the toilet in the Macquarie Centre, which is out in the suburbs and not a touristy area at all. On top of the cistern I found a copy of the Sun that was only two days old and near mint. UK papers usually take three or four days or so to make it to newstands in Australia, and cost an appalling amount, so this is possibly the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Todays Metro headline: SHAKIRA, MOGWAI AND A HOST OF OTHERS!

Uh, what?

No Ken. It was NM. Semen would have made it merely VG+.

Jlloyd, I'm ready to be heartbroken (ken c), Friday, 1 April 2011 10:51 (fourteen years ago)

massive long story about zomg woman near olympic site searched in car and was found with semtex. and cocaine. and arrested or something.

then like one small paragraph right at the end of the two pager tells us that she is a dog handler and the semtex is um used to train the dogs and she is licenced to have it.

Jlloyd, I'm ready to be heartbroken (ken c), Friday, 1 April 2011 10:54 (fourteen years ago)

whereas the cocaine was hidden about her person and the dog had to find it. But the dog was having a bit of difficulty. But, in the end, he found it up the handler's nos.

Mark G, Friday, 1 April 2011 11:19 (fourteen years ago)
