Chicago's all girl roller derby league. Trying to be clever names. Recycled swing revival fashion, some say a beer-tastic good time.

It seems like a lonely girl support group, so I'm going with DUD.

Portland had its first Rose City Rollergirls match last month. I think they expected 500, and they got over 2500 folks showing up. The line was so long they delayed the start by 30 minutes just to get everybody in.

I'm kinda curiously as to what other 60s/70s american working-class culture will be resurrected and re-purposed for twentysomethings.

I'm hoping it will be minor league hockey.

Y'know, Old-Tyme Hockey, like Eddie Schor.

My sisters enjoyed themselves the one time they went. It's possible that they are lonely girls though.

"Patty Melt"? Not to get personal, but a girl named after a greasy sandwich accuses the skaters of attempting to be clever?
Anyhoo, beertastic is right, but I don't know anyone into swing or even into the crappy faux-rock-a-billy rehashery.
