not that familiar with his comedy producing (no-one mentions the 11 O'Clock Show!) but the Herge biog is indeed splendid (my copy: loaned and lost ten yrs ago) and the Cook bio v v good indeed (qualified by too much emph. on 'he was too depressed/jealous without Dud to ever focus again' type theorising-as-fact etc - but yes as Stevie says, excellent research and so readable).
If that novel's been published in .au I'll be looking for it tomorrow.
