hi dere

so my lovely job has informed me that i need to go on a course to learn to use oracle, which is nice, something like this to start with, i think.

so my question is, does anyone know or GREAT providers who do this, or alternatively SUCKY ones i should avoid?

also talk about how much fun i'm going to have running oracle databases please :)

thanks for playing ;)

i know it's boring, but as long as it's not SUCKY i should be able to cope...

I'm with PJ - it looks fucking shit. I should ask to go on a CEEFAX training course instead.

That was my highlight of the day so far.

I beleive they are based at Reading, perhaps you should go straight to the horse's mouth, if such a thing is possible.

Get a manual and teach yourself! I had to do that with Oracle8.

Oracle is actually great, it's a lot of manual coding, but you have such lovely control over your data.

I think there is a market for a 'Ceefax for Dummies' book. Old folk get confused by buttons.

Kate, it seems a bit of a shame to learn from a book when work are willing to shell out 2K for a(n admittedly un certified) training course ;)

Ah, in that case, pick the one with the most exotic location. Perhaps the London Business School so you can lounge on Regents Park on your lunch break.

Oracle University is meant to be the best.Im not sure where this is in london, and i think it costs megabucks.

Stayahead, in Farringdon is where my work sends me.
Ive been on the SQL and the PL/SQL courses. Which gives you a fairly basic idea of whats going on.

I've been on a few Stayahead courses and they were pretty good.
