This is where the effects of growing up a white kid on the rez really show; I've come to loathe Pow Wow music. I was actually even in a drum group in 6th grade, but now it just seems empty and repetitive to me. Anyway, Xit is a great Native rock band, but if you listen for it you can hear that there's just as much Pow Wow as rock in their music.

Can you guys imagine if they had foreboding drums before every major international summit meeting? I bet those guys would bear down a little more.

I wish I knew more about it. I used to get stuff off of Napster. Since it's traditional and probably not copyright-protected, maybe it's still there. Is anything still on Napster, though?
