Do you know Megan McCormick? She does those world adventure shows on Outdoor Lifestyle channels. She is the female Judge Reinhold. I first saw her one day when I had a cold and became entranced by this ridiculous saturated ball of au naturelle benevolence and on-the-dolo hotness. WHAT a practical little haircut! What spunk! She is that totally rad girl you stopped hanging out with while you were becoming cool and evil/discovering drugs/learning how to network, but once in a while you think about her and realize she had it right all along and is way more healthy and stress-free and you could trust her anytime even with a gun to your nuts.

(She also reminds me of Wayne Gretzky, whose autobiography I did my first ever book report on. nohomo)

She goes camping with her Mom. I bet they totally TALK to each other too! You can keep your cynical little HATER vacations - it's cool to love your family!

she was v crushable until it was determined that she was a republican
― gabbneb, Monday, 16 June 2008 02:24 (seventeen years ago)
Her episode on Los Angeles was completely retarded. Ditto for her LA food blog: http://www.deependdining.com/
― Elvis Telecom, Monday, 16 June 2008 06:15 (seventeen years ago)
Hahahahahaha she's visited North America, no way
― Niles Caulder, Monday, 16 June 2008 07:37 (seventeen years ago)
Owning a bikini = sexy, apparently
― Niles Caulder, Monday, 16 June 2008 07:38 (seventeen years ago)
How can anyone crush on a person with such an old fashioned looking website?
― snoball, Monday, 16 June 2008 08:07 (seventeen years ago)
Didn't I start a thread about Globetrekker a couple years ago, where we discussed the insane amount of web-crushing McCormick fansites in the world? I flipped past that L.A. Globetrekker and couldn't quite remember what used to seem so great about her; I miss Justine and Ian. She seemed louder, less clever, and less fun.
― nabisco, Monday, 16 June 2008 18:43 (seventeen years ago)
god, ian is so annoying. i tried watching his i-discover-america thing and just couldn't.
― gabbneb, Monday, 16 June 2008 18:44 (seventeen years ago)
We'll always have the time in Dubai where the guy recommended she buy herbs to restore her virginity.
xpost - but Ian is basically like Martin Freeman / Tim-from-The-Office is touring the world! Plus points for describing the rationale behind Mongolian wrestling clothes: there aren't supposed to be women, but one year a woman came and beat a bunch of guys, so now the tops are chestless "so they can see your bosies."

sorta homely indian chick with fat titties

Justine is the best Globetrekker host by several orders of magnitude.
― Elvis Telecom, Monday, 16 June 2008 19:52 (seventeen years ago)
Ian Wright is ace. Megan McCormick has this annoying thing where she tries to act cute
― O. Vickers, Monday, 16 June 2008 20:01 (seventeen years ago)
Does Le Coq still post here? That guy was so cool.
― Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved, Monday, 16 June 2008 22:52 (seventeen years ago)
YES HE WAS AWESUM
― Niles Caulder, Tuesday, 17 June 2008 06:26 (seventeen years ago)
Ian intro'ing Vegas - "sit-chew-ated in the hahrt of Nevada's MO-hahv desert..."
Justine is growing on me - it seems like she's the most into the stuff I would be, and I'm sure I'd like to hang out with her irl (whereas Megan might get annoying v quickly), and she's pretty in a subtle way - but Megan, who unlike Justine is my age cohort, is still more entertaining, tv-wise, in no small part due to their voices. Justine's wiki page reports that she "revealed during the Globe Trekker episode, Israel and the Sinai Desert, that she was a follower of Judaism." o rly.

Have you seen her in Trinidad? She dances in a carnival outfit with a bravery you will respect forever.
― nabisco, Tuesday, 24 February 2009 01:21 (seventeen years ago)
i think i saw her shopping for the costume, but didn't see the dancing
― double bird strike (gabbneb), Tuesday, 24 February 2009 01:25 (seventeen years ago)
She is not a person you would expect to see on TV in a thong, but she was all: hey, I'm in Trinidad, it's carnival, someone is teaching me to wine, I am going to swallow all self-consciousness and look goofy if necessary
