Currently floating around *but* have hooked up with someone I met at the Momus show last month. We're both rebounding to one extent or another and therefore just enjoying mutual attraction and the like. She's smart, very funny, easy to talk to, it's all good.

Una is very cute and funny and there are loads of reasons I like her. The main one is that she raps So Solid Crew and Missy at me. Also she indulges my passion for dancing. I won't go into the dynamics of our non commitment based bizarre "relationship" beyond saying that it is a non commitment based bizarre relationship. Also she has huge eyes which always gets me.

Met my sweet spouse two and a half years ago at the Bowlie Weekender, that proto-All Tomorrow's Parties festival Belle & Sebastian put together in Camber Sands. She's endless fun to be around, plus she's a fantastic photographer and a kick-ass rhythm guitarist. I can spend six straight weeks in a car with her, talking to basically nobody else, and love every minute of it, and I know this because that's what we did this summer. Also, she is the only person I've ever heard use the word "culvert" in casual conversation.

My man is solid. He is my rock , the man who keeps me together, who keeps me in school, who reads my poetry , who holds me , he is the person who i adore . Reform Jew who grew up in Winnipeg , he is used to forging a cultural idenity while remaining unthreating. He and i cannot agree on music and art but we manage to keep house . He canoes, snowshoes and hunts moose , but he can choose champagane , wear cuff links, waltz . I am with no one. I do not plan on being with anyone for a long time, after how badly I got screwed up by the last one. In fact, my New Years Resolution this year is to give up men entirely. (No, not entirely, so my male friends can stop quaking.)

But I am giving up relationships, I am even giving up crushes, I am giving up obsessions, and I am giving up endlessly chasing arrogant shits who only ever cared about being flattered by the attention, and who never actually cared about me to start with, let alone actually gave a shit about whether I'm alive or dead.

(So, yes, Gareth, I guess you got your New Years wish, didn't you?)

Enough of that. I've wasted too much time and energy and effort on it, and I've got too much of my own life to try and get back into some sort of order.
