Moral of the story, don't fool around with people you don't like.

Er....that sounded preachy, do if you want, but don't be surprised when things get awkward or something.

The Moral is to tell people when they are fuck buddies .

I don't understand his give up alcohol thing. Anyway looks like he'll be drinking lots where you're sending him.

Ronan, Monday, 31 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"If you want to give up alcohol, that's a good idea; it'll be good for you. But trying to blackmail me into staying with you makes me less interested in even wanting to be your friend, not more."

Douglas, Monday, 31 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

How do you answer to that? Tell him to grow the fuck up, that's how. "if you stay with me I'll give up alcohol"-please.

Sorry, that's my cranky response--it's sad he's heartbroken, but it's not your fault, especially only two weeks into the fooling around. Can't help you with the feeling weird problem--is this someone you can't help being around, a member of your crowd? If so, I'd just accept that it's going to be like this for awhile and try and be as considerate as you can without leading him on. If not, I would tell him you can't hang around with him till his feelings for you cool off.

What is the age group? Because that is a factor. If he's under 17, tell him to shut up. If he's 18-24, tell him that he needs to take control of his own life before changing for others. If he's 24-28, tell him he should learn to be mature, becuase it's getting time. If he's 30, just look at him with a confused look. If he's 35 or older, buy him a bowling bag and change your phone number. If he's 40 to 45, buy him a copy of Herman Hesse's "Steppenwolf." If he's 50 or over, buy him a copy of Bukowski's "Women."

Just because I am a bibliophile doesn't mean I'm not a fresh-faced lad of 23.something, mark.
