any belfast dwellers have any info on where's good to live? would be getting a 1 or 2 bed appartment and would like to be fairly central... any other belfast-based recommendations welcome.

Somewhere in the student area around Botanic Avenue, Stranmillis, or the area known as the Holy Land are your best bet. Fifteen minutes walk from the city centre, or a five minute bus ride if you're feeling particularly lazy. All the best bars, cafes etc are situated around there as well.

Well...it's been 12 years since I lived there but I'm pretty sure you should be able to get a decent place for around £150 - 200 per month. Not bad.

apparently that area has been taken over by students so rowdy they more or less comprise a paramilitary force in their own right.
