Over there.

Nathalie, the Queen of Frock 'n' Fall (stevie nixed), Thursday, 3 November 2005 10:57 (twenty years ago)

Have you looked over there?

(bah xpost!)

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Thursday, 3 November 2005 10:57 (twenty years ago)

First place I looked was over there.

It's not funny.

_ Lonely _, Thursday, 3 November 2005 10:59 (twenty years ago)

Are you the same person who said "I have nothing to say" last night? Because this thread is serious deja vu.

salexander / sofia (salexander), Thursday, 3 November 2005 11:00 (twenty years ago)

No, it isn't funny. You keep asking and we keep telling. WHEN WILL YOU LISTEN!

Nathalie, the Queen of Frock 'n' Fall (stevie nixed), Thursday, 3 November 2005 11:01 (twenty years ago)

Well, where did you last have it?

Also, perhaps you are that episode of the Twilight Zone with the guys who rush to build each minute just before it happens, in which case you just need to wait till they realise their mistake and put it back where you thought it was all along.

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Thursday, 3 November 2005 11:01 (twenty years ago)

We first have to establish if he really did have it in the first place.

Nathalie, the Queen of Frock 'n' Fall (stevie nixed), Thursday, 3 November 2005 11:03 (twenty years ago)

"Well, where did you last have it?" Good question.

I'm storming from room to room, re-looking and re-re-looking in the very places I looked in in the first place. Isn't it odd how, as one is looking, one repeats to oneself, well I do, the name of the thing one's looking for, whilst simultaneously miming its action and function with one's hands.

Hey.. What's that noise?

_ Lonely _, Thursday, 3 November 2005 11:08 (twenty years ago)

It's ok, it was just my neighbour putting my wheelie bin inside my gate. We have this arrangement. I take his wheelie bin along with mine down to the bottom of the lane at night, and he brings mine up again in the morning, leaving it inside my gate. The noise was just him leaving it inside my gate.

Back to the search. Now where did I put it?

_ Lonely _, Thursday, 3 November 2005 11:14 (twenty years ago)

In the wheelie bin?

C J (C J), Thursday, 3 November 2005 11:21 (twenty years ago)

Bloody hell. This is the second time he's done this. He's brought the wheelie bin up before the bin men have come. It's still got my bags in it.

Me: "Mr. Greer!"
Mr. Greer: "I know, I've just looked. Sorry"
Me: "ha, they haven't come yet haha."
Mr Greer, walking back down towards me: "I know, I've just looked in the bin. I'll take it back down with mine".
Me: "No, it's fine, I'll take them".
Mr. Greer: "Are you sure?"
Me: "Yes it's fine".

Bloody idiot. I've got enough to think about, trying to find my ... Ah, there it is!! It's hanging out of my wheelie bin. It must have slipped from the bridge of my nose onto the top of the bags when I took them down last night.
Good old Mr. Greer!

x-post

Well done CJ for spoiling the end.

You are wasting your time.

Plunging Hen, Thursday, 3 November 2005 11:29 (twenty years ago)

On a similar note, if anyone's lost any young soul rebels, I found them. They were under the pile of last sunday's newspapers.

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 3 November 2005 11:30 (twenty years ago)

Are you sure that was the one you lost?

when something smacks of something (dave225.3), Thursday, 3 November 2005 12:29 (twenty years ago)

You'll find it the moment you stop looking. So stop looking.

StanM (StanM), Thursday, 3 November 2005 12:32 (twenty years ago)
