might well be totally unrelated to the fact next week will see a big fite for anti-terra legislation; might not be.

It was Blair who punched Ross Kemp, not Rebekah Wade

don't see how that's going to influence events either way; especially not in the Lords... they've already been charged so the argument that 'if we had only had 90 days to hold them we could have really pinned something on em' doesn't really hold.

It proves that there are lots of bad people out there who we need to lock up for 90 days so we can see just quite how despicable they are

ok, anyway maybe this should be the BRITAIN BECOMING POLICE STATE IN 4-5 HOURS - C/D thread.

seriously, they might be able to lock you up for three months sans charge, as of this evening. the fucking cunts.

Well it's easy to be cynical but I think the Police have made a compelling case for being able to imprison anyone who looks a bit dodgy for as long as they like without trial cos they know who's really guilty and those evil lawyers just get them off on technicalities like not having evidence and stuff and if we want to live in a free society we can't just let people go wandering around freely being foreign and ignoring TEH THIRD WAY what are you a communist or something why don't you just go and live in Iran?

i really hope the labour party gets one backbone. actually i don't "really hope" that, i think i've just about learned how this shit goes down by now.

Blair loses big style, not even jetting in Brown and Straw can save him has to make do with a 28 day compromise http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4422086.stm. How long before he goes now I wonder.

I must say the scenes of Prescott dragging Blair from the Chamber whilst muttering "Leave it Tone, they're not worth it" and Blair screaming "You fools! You've killed us all!" whilst bubbles of saliva dribbled down his chin was most un-statesmanlike.
