Mr Godfrey made a bawdy cartoon or two in his pre-Rhubarb&Custard days, didn't he? I remember seeing a clip on some I Love Top Ten show or another... the animated Karma Sutra or something.

I vaguely remember a cartoon he did about inflatable dolls, and they all flew into the sky at the end and lived in the clouds. It had a fresh naivety about it.

I was in negotaitations with Mr Godfrey to buy the rights to Henry's Cat when I was in my last company. I don't think they got very far once our money/sales men got onto it. He seemed a very nice chap though, trying to sell out and go into wealthy retirment. Well-deserved, I'd say. I wonder if he managed?

I can remember a coupla godfrey films that were, er, a bit rude, one was about some civil servant w/bowler hat stereotype, who went thru various types of kinky sex looking for, i dunno i forget it was years ago, and the other was about the inflatable doll as referrwed to above. IIrc this guy falls in love w/a inflatable doll in a sex shop window, saves up to buy "her", but "she" gets ripped off by a biker gang!! They uset to show them on "O.T.T.", which was this really shit "adult humour" prog from ages ago (like 20yrs ago) I remember the latter one b/c I remember watching it when me & sis were allowed to stay up late to watch tv one night. My mum ws always very straight-laced, & we were really embarrased by the fil, b/c we had to stifle our laughter. I remember looking round to see mum, expecting some look of horror & didgust, but she was stifling laughter herself, w/tears rolling down cheeks & all that, ah for youth blah blah.
