Hey Hipshott are from Guildford in the UK we play funky rock tunes! Check out outr main website at www.hipshott.co.uk for more info on the band The band started in 2003ish (can't remember) got rid of some people worked on the sound now we have Hipshott. Weird mix of people, Tom (singer) worked for 6 years after leaving school as draftsman, Engineer then in sales... then after having a life changing experience decided to go and do music. Chris was liberated from his room 2 years ago having spent most of his life trying to emulate the sounds of slash from guns and roses, he really is a tribute to his mispent youth. Gaz and Zander came from a boys school just outside of Reading, they bicker like a married couple "oh yeah... your really funny' Zander does a lot of the writing although he plays drums he's one of these people who can play two instruments. chris laces our music with distortion and funkness? Gaz does what he is told and loves it. (only joking!) Tom then tries to pick out melodies that aren't blatent rip offs of middle 8s from musical numbers written by Tim Rice, or John Lennon...

Before this thread gets deleted I would like to take the opportunity to say your name sucks hard. But don't take that too hard, as it's not as bad as yr tunes.

I refuse to have someone making a fool of themselves so perfectly get their thread deleted.

I'm still not sure this isn't a pisstake. If it is it's brilliant.

Matt (Matt), Thursday, 10 November 2005 15:39 (twenty years ago)

Actually, I kind of just assimilated this as typical spam, but as I read it back, there is something wonderfully unique about it... I'm regretting pouncing straight on it now :(

It's almost poignant how they wish they're from LA circa 1978.

chris laces our music with distortion and funkness?

The question mark is the killer touch.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 10 November 2005 15:45 (twenty years ago)

Tim Rice and Slash, together at last.

"...then after having a life changing experience decided to go and do music"

Ok, someone help me out on this one: What kind of life-changing experience would you need to have in order to "do" this music?
