but wot if its uncaffinated?

kingfish orange creamsicle (kingfish 2.0), Friday, 11 November 2005 08:17 (twenty years ago)

not sure. it might be a digestion issue rather than a caffeine one.

the song i'm listening to right now, somewhat fittingly, is the free design singing "girls all alone are afraid of the dark..."

JBR do you bite your tongue a lot when you're sleeping? Cos I do, loads, it's really sore.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 11 November 2005 14:34 (twenty years ago)

Cheese is best for this surely?

I had spicy food last night followed by dreams wherein my car brakes failed, a recurring motif for me. Hmmm.

as long as you don't fall asleep with his dick in your mouth your all set.

I thought the cheese before bed thing was blown out of proportion, lots of cheese and crackers & one dream later I realise this not to be true.

no, but i grind my teeth. i do it when i'm awake too, but i've been becoming more aware of it. obviously i need to get myself 100% out of the habit if i want to stop grinding my teeth in my sleep. (yeah there are dental devices you can get but eh it's not that big a deal...)

I find that protein (cheesy pizza) makes me dream crazy.

Jdubz (ex machina), Friday, 11 November 2005 17:22 (twenty years ago)

The answer is yes. This is why Indian people are so freaked out all the time.

nabisco (nabisco), Friday, 11 November 2005 17:26 (twenty years ago)

I used to have a retainer for night wear, but the dentist, expensive motherfucker that he was, couldn't quite make it fit right and it kept me awake for hours. So eventually I gave up, and I don't *think* I grin my teeth all that much any more.

I hear that eating multi-vitamins before bed will affect your dreams.

And I can confirm that Nyquil gel-caps give good feverish visions too.

Nate Carson, Tuesday, 27 January 2009 02:23 (seventeen years ago)

In my experience, B-complex vitamins tend to promote dreaming. So do opiates, of course.
