most of our parades seem to involve sportspeople, though. we don't get the ones with the giant balloon animals and stuff, I feel that one of those could really kick-start the latent parade fanbase.

there are some cool non-sports parades here though haitch - chinese new year and most cities have cool gay pride parades. the christmas pageant is pretty corny but a family fave in perth. also i love the blessing of the fleet in freo, religious festival turned into community fun day.
