4) probably, but you never know.

Could be something very secret or very exciting!

Two love letters, a shopping list, and the results for their fantasy football team.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 14 November 2005 14:43 (twenty years ago)

An essy, a Powerpoint, and a Jpeg of a woman popping an apple out of her oppulent rectum.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Monday, 14 November 2005 14:43 (twenty years ago)

Department of Homeland Security's "to-do" list.

I do feel guilty for getting any perverse amusement out of it (Rock Hardy), Monday, 14 November 2005 14:44 (twenty years ago)

"opulent" sounds like the way estate agents would describe each others' rectums.

An mp3 of "Crazy Frog"

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 14 November 2005 14:45 (twenty years ago)

Hang on, 64mb? Max Byraves then.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 14 November 2005 14:46 (twenty years ago)

I reckon it'll be some student's essay. I bet they don't have backup either.

Hang on, 64mb? Max Bygraves then. Not Max Byraves, the oldskool DJ fellah.

A grainy mpeg which appears to show you scenes from your own future.

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 14 November 2005 14:48 (twenty years ago)

Rust!

A grainy mpeg which appears to show you scenes from your own future.

Which will involve you attacking your wife with an axe.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 14 November 2005 14:52 (twenty years ago)

when you plug it in to your machine, the keyboard will shimmer and disappear, and be replaced by a portal into another universe. if you enter it, you will find yourself trapped inside a tron-style representation of ILX, and ned will run you over on a little jetpack scooter thing.

This is how Blue Velvet would have begun if it was made in 2005.

James Ward (jamesmichaelward), Monday, 14 November 2005 15:02 (twenty years ago)

Proof of WMD in Iraq is on that flash card.

What, in the 1980s people stored files in their ears?

Alba (Alba), Monday, 14 November 2005 15:06 (twenty years ago)

no, in the 2000s people find USB memory things v. weird and creepy and disgusting but intriguing

RJG (RJG), Monday, 14 November 2005 15:15 (twenty years ago)

You are confusing USB memory things with me.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 14 November 2005 15:17 (twenty years ago)

I can't believe there'll be much on a 64 millibit storage device.

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Monday, 14 November 2005 15:34 (twenty years ago)

I will now proceed to imagine two bundling henchmen attempting to catch Pashmina, as the memory stick contains evidence of one murder, but then only to be foiled at every corner by falling pianos and such like.

Enjoy your day!

It was option 4/ - a bunch of word files about geometry, and a multimedia file that won't play on my computer.

No clues as to who it belongs to, unfortunately. I'm guessing it's from the technical college up the road. I'll hand it in tomorrow, although the chances of it getting back to its otiginal owner are vanishingly slim, I think.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Monday, 14 November 2005 18:05 (twenty years ago)

a multimedia file that won't play on my computer

gah, that's the thing that opens the portal. try upgrading to QuickTimeWarp 7.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Monday, 14 November 2005 18:06 (twenty years ago)

the word files about geometry are the developer notes on the virtual ned.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Monday, 14 November 2005 18:06 (twenty years ago)

Word files: open in word - file - properties - summary - author - happy - money - hurrah?

StanM (StanM), Monday, 14 November 2005 18:29 (twenty years ago)
