What they torygraph writer?

IT sounded like, when you peel back the telegraph hyberbole, that the EU is building a system of satelites for environmental monitor, for many reasons but one seems to be to make sure that agricultural subsidies are not subject to fraud and fisheries quotas aren't exceeded etc.

The "internal security" part is interesting... It's so vague, how would you even define it. Internal security for whom against whom?

The Sky Sports ad that accompanied the Telegraph article when I loaded it was a nice touch: "What do you want to watch? Whatever you're into, we've got it covered".

Nevertheless, I fail to see how satellites several miles up in the sky can ensure compliance with regulations. Can they see into our minds? Can they read ID cards? How do they get round the "Intentional Fallacy"? Did satellites help anyone discover WMDs in Iraq?

'lol ed, if this was an american satellite net would you be so sanguine?'

Depends whether it was an environmental satelite network or not. The torygraph is hardly going to put any european project in light.

'Nevertheless, I fail to see how satellites several miles up in the sky can ensure compliance with regulations.'

Depends on what they are monitoring. YOu can tell what crops people are growing pretty easily.

Is that a fallow field on your farm or are you just pleased to see me?
