Once again they're rather stretching the definition of "Celebrity":

David Dickinson (antique-loving, bright orange convicted fraudster)
Antony Costa (used to be in Blue, solo career not doing so well)
Kimberly Davis (Analise out of Neighbours)
Jenny Frost (used to be in Atomic Kitten, solo career not doing so well)
Elaine Lordan (ex-EastEnder struggling to find panto work)
Sid Owen (RICK-AYYYYY!)
Jilly Goolden (Horse-faced wine buff)
Jimmy Osmond (Long haired lover, not actually from Liverpool)
Carol Thatcher (Spawn of Satan)

What happened to DD?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 15 November 2005 18:03 (twenty years ago)

When he was 19 he was sent to Strangeways for five years after he was caught swindling little old ladies with a mail order scam.

Hello Sunshine (Hello Sunshine), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 10:56 (twenty years ago)

I won't watch but look forwards to all the bad puns in the paper the next morning: "A FROST-y Reception" "Kimberly not so NEIGHBOUR-ly."

Never knew about DD's conviction. I have a whole new respect for him. He's like the 50 Cent of IAACGMOOH!

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 10:57 (twenty years ago)

Though Carol Thathcher is the daughter of SHE WHOSE NAME MUST NOT BE SPOKEN, which means she's at least 50 per cent evil.

Hello Sunshine (Hello Sunshine), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 11:00 (twenty years ago)

Next morning? Check the tabloids today. xpost.

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 11:01 (twenty years ago)

Have The Mirror in the staff kitchen. Will have a look later.

Who will be the couple that result from this season?

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 11:04 (twenty years ago)

David Dickinson?!? What the hell. I bet he'll be one half of the couple. The other half will be an antique branch.

Nathalie is in Da Base II Dark (stevie nixed), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 11:05 (twenty years ago)

i think c. thatcher isn't a great fan of her mum.

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 11:05 (twenty years ago)

"David Dickinson FORKs a branch!"

As in fork in a branch. Jesus, that was weak...

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 11:14 (twenty years ago)

i think c. thatcher isn't a great fan of her mum.
-- Theorry Henry (miltonpinsk...) (webmail), Today 11:05 AM. (later) (link)

I thing yr wrong. It's her mum for gorsakes. She's allowed to Love Margaret Thatcher.

I will never again type the last three words of that last sentence in my life!

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 11:17 (twenty years ago)

I'm quite glad I've chosen to give up telly for the next month :)

Mädchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 13:39 (twenty years ago)

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 13:47 (twenty years ago)

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Sunday, 20 November 2005 21:06 (twenty years ago)

mrs fiendish has switched it off, as it is unbearably dull.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Sunday, 20 November 2005 21:49 (twenty years ago)

Well, basically the voting public will be VOTING THATCHER to do EVERY BUSH TUCKER TRIAL! EAT SLUGS! AND LICE!

Sins of the parents and all that.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 21 November 2005 08:48 (twenty years ago)

Reality T.V and soaps are the glue that bind mixed-age group office workers together. Or so I've found since starting in here.

Rumpie, Monday, 21 November 2005 09:08 (twenty years ago)

TPT still adorably bonkers in the ITV2 show. I can see me only watching that this year.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Monday, 21 November 2005 09:08 (twenty years ago)

what about cannon and ball?

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Monday, 21 November 2005 09:43 (twenty years ago)

Glance at tabloids and Thatcher appears to have pissed next to her bed. DETAILS PEOPLE!!

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Monday, 21 November 2005 09:45 (twenty years ago)

that's what happened, and they showed it.

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Monday, 21 November 2005 09:46 (twenty years ago)

Just checked anaova.com. Eurgh.

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Monday, 21 November 2005 09:46 (twenty years ago)

Thomas Derbyshire and Robert Harper hae just joined the programme.

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 24 November 2005 15:18 (twenty years ago)

Please tell me you googled their real names and didn't just know that?

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 24 November 2005 20:00 (twenty years ago)

I am stupidly enjoying Carol Thatcher and Jilly Goolden's bushtucker food trial "mmm, this grasshopper is rather zesty" etc.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 24 November 2005 20:10 (twenty years ago)

xpost no I saw the news story, and picked the 'detail' section to use.

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 24 November 2005 22:48 (twenty years ago)

I was kind of surprised how solid a kangaroo cock is, judging by the difficulty Jilly had biting through it.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Friday, 25 November 2005 10:16 (twenty years ago)

Well "Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport" was traditionally a little ditty about bestial bondage.

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Friday, 25 November 2005 10:18 (twenty years ago)

The Sport of "Tie me kangaroo down" narrowly missed becoming an olympic event!

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 25 November 2005 10:21 (twenty years ago)

Ah, this isn't the official thread, is it?

Anyway, finishes tonight.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 5 December 2005 15:03 (twenty years ago)

I think it is, but this series hasn't exactly captured the imagination of ilXorz (plus I have been away for much of it).

From what I've seen I think I'd like Sid to win the most, but I'd settle for Carol. Sheree seems to have taken the 'brave young mum' vote in much the same way as Chipshop did last year, despite doing very little.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Monday, 5 December 2005 15:30 (twenty years ago)

Sid is so wonderfully cheerful, I hope he wins, though I can't really see him overtaking Carol at this stage. She's been excellently gung-ho and bonkers, and seems to have got beyond the initial hurdle of being associated with her mother and brother. I'd like to be stuck in a jungle with her. Also her red trilby and cheery pose in the opening credits are so ridiculous you can't help but like her.

Sheree won't want out, as I imagine Harry Kewell will be wanting to have words with her discussing his various physical attributes in front of the great British public. I bet he's been taking some slagging in the dressing room this last week or so :)

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 5 December 2005 17:56 (twenty years ago)

Mild shock as chirpy Sid comes third, leaving S-Murph and C-Thatch in the final.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 5 December 2005 21:46 (twenty years ago)

And it's a victory for Thatcher (not words I'm usually happy about).
