Shiira browser for OSX

anyone using this? i like it alot. it loads pages really fast - much faster than safari and has a great sidebar feature for bookmarks and history which it subtly changes the brower window size to accomodate. i also like the [+] icon next to the tabs so you can add them easily.

No, but I have a She-Ra skin for Firefox.

scrolls pretty quickly > firefox

I would be happy with a version of firefox that doesn't throw a shit strop when I try and scroll with two fingers

I just downloaded this to give it a try. I like the 'Display all tabs" thing, that is cool. It loads faster than Safari definitely, but I don't see a loading difference between it and Forefox.

The download size looks promising! i'm still lookin for a browser that's like less than one meg big

It basically looks like Safari with a fish icon. I like the fish, so I think I'll use it.

i like camino. flock is sorta okay too, but would be more useful if i had a blog. maybe i should start one!

phil-two (phil-two), Monday, 21 November 2005 07:39 (twenty years ago)

Flock looks really neat, but I don't
- actively blog
- have a camera for flickr
- collect bookmarks, much less use del.icio.us

It's not for me.

the page doc thing is cooool. although I'm always hesitant to give up screen real estate.

I've been bouncing between Safari, Camino, and Shiira for the last year or so depending on which one has better features, speed, or whatever else seems to work for me at the time. I'm starting to think that nobody's ever going to hit on the perfect combo of features.

I like Shiira, but the character encoding keeps screwing up and it's sometimes difficult to select text. Will try this new version though. I've messed around with the Omniweb demo as well but don't think it's worth paying for.

I keep going back to Safari, with NetNewsWire Lite for RSS purposes.

i'm astonished nobody's tried making a joke about a sharia browser yet.

i'm not doing it, either.

Shiira? Shiite, more like.
