So, IF someone took a chainsaw to a picnic....

Would you run before or after someone got cut? This is assuming, of course, that you weren't the first one.

I mean to ask - are you a "better safe than sorry" type or are you a "he's not ACTUALLY going to do it" type.

The dude with the chainsaw...is it someone you know? Or just some dude with a chainsaw?

Spink, Friday, 18 November 2005 14:13 (twenty years ago)

You mean a chainsaw instead of a fruit knife?

beanz (beanz), Friday, 18 November 2005 14:14 (twenty years ago)

Hmm. Good question. Say - normal looking guy you don't know - but with chainsaw.

If ice sculptures were involved, then I wouldnt worry too much.

Spink, Friday, 18 November 2005 14:17 (twenty years ago)

I might think he was an extreme juggler.

when he switched it on.

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Friday, 18 November 2005 14:18 (twenty years ago)

I think I would run when it got switched on, too.

Backyard, autumn, cutting some fuel for the wood stove, no wierd thing about a chainsaw.

Sunny day, kids at play, in the park, chainsaw = wtf? Lets go.

Big Loud Mountain Ape (Big Loud Mountain Ape), Friday, 18 November 2005 14:21 (twenty years ago)

i would roundhouse kick him in the side of the face, all day

Ste, OTM. Lock thread. Send/call in Chuck Norris, and be done with Leatherface.

Big Loud Mountain Ape (Big Loud Mountain Ape), Friday, 18 November 2005 14:37 (twenty years ago)

I wish I'd taken a chainsaw to a picnic, once. I'd have used it on the bloke playing the recorder.

im assuming gas, and i think id run the moment i saw it (still recovering from a veiwing of the original Texas Chainsaw when i was 12)

JD from CDepot, Friday, 18 November 2005 16:37 (twenty years ago)

if he's not standing near me then no problem. i can run a lot quicker than someone carrying a chainsaw should they decide to run towards me

ken c (ken c), Friday, 18 November 2005 16:41 (twenty years ago)

i thought at first the question was about whether you'd stay around to rubberneck and witness free live massacre or just run away

ken c (ken c), Friday, 18 November 2005 16:41 (twenty years ago)

Electric or gas?

What a stupid question. Only pussies use electric "chainsaws."

...is it like a diddy pruning saw or is it a Husqvarna with a 30in bar? If it's the former, you should probably run. If it's the latter, wait until he's chopping someone else and then just push him over. Those fuckers are HEAVY.

Have you been paying too much to see live massacres, Ken??

.. like that old joke, I don't have to be able to outrun the maniac with the chainsaw, I just have to be able to outrun you.

You see people sawing through chains all the time on the streets in NYC...

maybe I was the only other person watching C-Span last night when this was said? I've NEVER seen tv as good as the House debate last night.
