Porn and credit card fraud

If you subscribe to a porn site that says the subscription fee is recurring but you can cancel at any time - but then makes it impossible to cancel by not sending the subscription details by email as promised, details which are needed in order to cancel, and also by making the 'contact us' button a dead link, then do you think a credit card company would be willing to just block any further payments without me having to go into specific detail about what the web site was (it wasn't an illegal one, but I don't think I could bring myself to ring up Egg and tell them what the url of the site was - I think I'd rather just pay £20 a month forever)

Why do you have a problem with admitting you pay for porn? There's nothing wrong with liking porn (and also paying for it). We're sexual human beings. Just tell them this company is doing the right time (giving you the ability to cancel your subscription). You rather pay for the rest of your life for something you no longer want than contact some person at a credit card company who knows shit about you and is not being paid to have an opinion on what you buy (or not buy). You're actually doing the company a service: warning them of a website that is not doing the right thing. It'll take ten minutes to do that phone call, do it cause it'll save you a lot of money.

sigh, it took me 5 months to stop a porn site from taking the monthly fee from my credit card, my first step was to go via their website. alas they never sent me any email reguarding my signup (which was very late at night in a very drug induced time) email to webmaster came back saying they dont have me on record, trying to put in some code never worked, and they did it so you had to enter two types of information and alas you could only ever get one, so no way of stopping it thur the website

Then was off to the banks, to9ld them the story, (short of porn site only because it is beside the point) had to fill out forms, but that was a hassel, as its wasnt a non recieved item and it wasnt a disputered transaction. i had to fill out the same form 3 times over a few weeks, i talked to 2 guys on the phone, and the while time every month the payemnt was still coming out. The bank said they couldnt contact them, and then finally after a few more month the payments stopped and visa gavem me back a few months from what the porn site took from me,

and the good news was that i was downloading full movies right up to the point where my subscription ended hahaha....

TIP for all you guys who dont know, sign up for every porn site, i mean yearly subscriptions, then go into the bank the next day tell them, that you have no idea what this is, it will take the banks months to stop it, you can keep using the porn site right up until the end and then you get your money back because you stepped up and said you dont know what this is right away :) easy hey, now i do it for fun, because visa always gives me the money back hahahah
