I prefer his sister, Lisa. Yum yum.

classic for zoolander. "put a cork in it, zane!"

ZR (teenagequiet), Friday, 18 November 2005 16:03 (twenty years ago)

Classic. I wanted both Kate and Leo to drown in Titanic and the movie to just follow him in his beautifully evil exploits.

I always thought Billy Zane would make a good Batman.

Me too but I always had him as the campy, Adam West Batman.

Listen to your friend, Billy Zane.

Erick Dampier is better than Shaq (miloaukerman), Friday, 18 November 2005 19:43 (twenty years ago)

Luscious in "Twin Peaks," and you gotta credit him with keeping a straight face in the Boat Movie.

Dr Morbius (Dr Morbius), Friday, 18 November 2005 19:43 (twenty years ago)

Classic for "Blood & Concrete"....a movie it seems I'm one of about twelve people who ever actaully saw (also starring James LeGross and -- I shit ye not -- Jennifer Beals).

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 18 November 2005 19:45 (twenty years ago)

Billy Zane has a face built for smacking.

TJ Quallis, Friday, 18 November 2005 23:11 (twenty years ago)

He's a favorite, up there with Julian Sands.

Andy_K (Andy_K), Friday, 18 November 2005 23:28 (twenty years ago)

". . . I wanted both Kate and Leo to drown . . . '

That would've been a great movie.

For a period of about two weeks c. 1995 after I saw Dead Calm, I thought he had to be the hottest man to have ever appeared in film.

Eric H., Thursday, 6 March 2014 20:24 (twelve years ago)

he looked goooood back then, no doubt

Classic for the "Crime Story" wherein he played a sleazy mob guy trying to off his sleazy mob wife played by Laura San Giacomo.

Sat near him at the Dai Tin Fung in Glendale over the weekend. He was with his wife and kid so like a good angeleno, I didn't bother him even though I have seen the Phantom a million times. He complained repeatedly about the food tasting like it had MSG in it even though he went to the website and it said no MSG. Zane said the food was giving him that MSG tingle. The manager was brought out and insisted to him that there was no MSG in the food. Zane was credulous, but begrudgingly accepted the manager's defense of their MSG-less food. Later, Zane then put a dumb newsies hat on his bald head and left.

Also, 8 years ago, a former roommate of mine played bass in a jazz quartet at a charity event Billy Zane attended. #zanesecrets
