"Aluminum Bottles" C or D?

Weirdest beverage packaging innovation I've seen in a while. Obviously it's nice that they're lighter and shatterproofer than glass bottles, but don't real cans actually have a better freshness seal than bottles, aluminum or otherwise? Drinking from aluminum is dud of course, so I'm pouring into a nice mug.

The other issue is the beverage itself, natch. Until tonite, I'd only seen this stuff holding Bud, so ignored it. What I'm drinking right now though, is Iron City - a beer I've long heard of but never tried, because it doesn't make it down here, until now. It's a nice, light, crisp pilsner, ain't it? Not on the level of Urquell , mind you, but not bad at all.

Aluminum anything is garbage. It ruins the flavor of any beer it contains, which is why you never see any serious brewery put its stock in cans.

That's not the story I get from a guy I know on another board who works on the technical side of the wine industry, but it certainly was my impression for a long time.

i've always felt it ruined everything - i once had perrier in a can from a vending machine that tasted very metallic, and after 1 sip, it was flat.
