The Queen's Sister

Who saw this? The "past" visuals were stunning, shame there were no Peter Sellers or bath accident references (or a convo with a 3 year old Harry along the lines of "ohhhh I know what it's like to be the younger sibling of the sovereign, it ain't no bundle of laughs believe me...." etc etc etc), however it did manage to subtley convey what an impersonal bitch the Queen is, by her inappearance. And an "Amelie does not have a boyfriend" shot of a similarly unamused Princess Margaret (!) (You know what I mean).

Princess Margaret in her 40s smoking dope and dancing with people half her age? Di who?

Discuss.

we watched 0.002 seconds of it before switching off and beginning a conversation about something - anything! - that might be marginally more relevant and worthwhile than a half-fictionalised drama about an already-forgotten member of an anachronistic dynasty.

toenail clippings, perhaps. or smegma.

I thought it was great. Good portrayal of how the "already-forgotten member of an anachronistic dynasty" was a human being too. And, if any of it is true, its a very sad story.

what: overprivileged rich bitch is selfish, unpleasant and pointless, and dies unhappy? oh boo hoo hoo :)

nb: this is an informed guess at what happened in the narrative, based on a) previews and reviews, and b) what i know about the hideous woman's existence.
