What fresh hell is this?

Monday January 07 2002 By Sarah Winterburn Conference side Stevenage Borough will star in a 'Big Brother-style' documentary which will see viewers vote off under-performing members of the team. The club have agreed to hand over some team selection to armchair viewers of Channel Four show You're The Manager - due to start next month. Each week a Fans' Forum will vote for three players who have failed to impress in training or on the pitch and manager Paul Fairclough will choose three potential replacements. The viewers will then vote on who actually plays in the Saturday game. There will also be a capacity to vote for mid-game substitutions by text message, with Fairclough agreeing to abide by the viewers' decisions. Stevenage are currently struggling at the wrong end of the Conference.

Maybe this is the answer for the troubled Argentinian government, also.

For "fresh hell" read "sheer desperation".

More to the point, Edna - are your boots clean and can you get the time off work?

I request voting info, + a list of their most incompetent players.

I think that some of their struggling chums at the bottom of the league may well be rubbing their hands with glee at this silly publicity stunt.

here you go

Cheers Chris. Many a Newcastle fan still hasn't forgiven Stevenage for their antics around that FA Cup encounter a while ago.

WHY IS ILE OBSESSED WITH BIG BROTHER? ITS A BORE

Mike Hanle y, Monday, 7 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I suspect the American Big Brother was rubbish - all the US reality shows I have seen have been. Why is this?

Did anyone see the clips of the shagging, blow jobs and female masturbation on the Belgian one the other day? Blimey. Was it there or in Holland where one bloke had five out of the six women in the house? And can it really be true that there have already been EIGHT Big Brother weddings around the world when it's only been on in 18 countries?

Thank you Mr Hanle y for saying exactly what was on my mind.

one year passes...
Talking of Stevenage Borough: they lost 0-2 to Tottenham Hotspur[s] yesterday.

A good result. For someone. But who[m]?
