Photoshop Elements 4.0 or Paint Shop Pro 9?

Which should I buy? Looks like Elements is slightly cheaper (£50 or so), and all I really want to do is buff up photos.

For home use, Elements is almost as good as the full Photoshop, and seeing as Photoshop is the industry standard, I'd save your £50.

I haven't used any version of PSP for years though. I'm kind of surprised it still exists, but I suppose competition is healthy.

pse came free with my wacom tablet. i just looked at adobe site, and pse4 lists for what a graphire tablet would cost. maybe you could buy a tablet and sell it if you don't want it. or at least get more for your money?? it would probably not come with 4 though - version 3 ?
