What I did on my vacation

Well, I went on my first vacation where I actually bought a plane ticket and went somewhere else for the first time ever. Since I'm 34, this fact is somewhat sad, since I feel like I should have done more travelling... guess I've been spending my money on records or something. Anyway, I went to Las Vegas, which was much nicer than I expected. Of course, everything's totally over the top, which is the point, but I had a good time... except me and my boyfriend broke up during the trip, which kind of put a damper on it all. I won't get into all the details, but it was a pretty drawn-out thing, with lots of tears, and clearly we're never going to see or talk to eachother again. I knew nothing was ever really going to come of it, since he's just turned 21 (and not a particularly mature 21 either), but it was pleasant for me while it lasted... too bad it wasn't for him. It sucks to know he's gone away from the whole thing hating my guts... but there's not much I can do about it. I'm leaving for work in about 15 minutes, so it's all back to normal in a way... I just wish all the heartwrenching adolescent drama could at least have been saved until after the vacation was over. Oh well. This message isn't a cry for sympathy (ok, it is sorta), more like me checking in to the group after being away for a few days. I'm really worn out. How was your weekend?
