Why are more men using prostitutes?

I just wanted to post that wonderful quote really. Also I was wondering if immigration and people trafficking was also a factor not mentioned - more men entering the country dispossessed etc., asylum debacle, possible increase in prostitution and trafficking rackets in cities over the last ten years - though these may sooner suggest an increase in prostitutes but not necess. customers (or do the two go hand in hand, as it were?).

Demand = supply, I reckon.

do the two go hand in hand

it's actually more of the "in and out", if you catch my drift. wink wink nudge nudge

Nobody asked if you had, but that's an awfully fast denial.

I'm just not sure if a ten year period of lads mags, cheaper flights to the continent and continued relaxation in society re sex taboos are quite strong enough on their own to explain a rise from 1 in 20 to 1 in 10. But then this Dubious Media Survey Of The Week after all.

not-goodwin always does a runner before the pimp can catch him.

FACT

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Thursday, 1 December 2005 14:45 (eighteen years ago) link

its because women have been given jobs and allowed out of the kitchen and allowed the vote thus society is crumbling like this

we need to get back to the good ol' days imho

ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!, Thursday, 1 December 2005 14:47 (eighteen years ago) link

The good ole days of when? Prostitutes have been around quite a long time.

Nathalie (stevie nixed), Thursday, 1 December 2005 14:48 (eighteen years ago) link

but back then they were just there for serial killers to murder not for lonely men needing sex

ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!, Thursday, 1 December 2005 14:49 (eighteen years ago) link

If prostitution is the world's oldest profession, then "traditionally" men don't work. AM I RIGHT, LADIES?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Thursday, 1 December 2005 14:50 (eighteen years ago) link

i would think that people-trafficking has a fair bit to do with it. the dodgy strip club in limerick (it's a long story; i wasn't there by choice) had all eastern european staff and the manager said if not for them he'd have to close because no irish girls would work there.

the manager said if not for them he'd have to close because no irish girls would work there for these inhuman wages.

There's a pretty good 10 part series about eastern european girls being smuggled into Belgium to work in club. Matroesjka's Extremely sad to watch.

Don't tell me. The viewers get to vote off their least favourite pro.
