If you want a definition of wasting your time, I can only give the example of coming here. Do you know anyone who doesn't waste their time, and if so, what response does that inspire in you?

Do you know what those people are doing while they're not 'wasting their time'? They're MAKING THINGS. That's right; making MORE THINGS. Do they spend much of their time thinking about whether they ought to be making those things? Or would that be a waste of time?

everyone wastes their time ... some are just better at covering it up, is all.

It's nice to have a rest between making one thing and making the next thing.

I see wasting one's time as doing something ultimately pointless that you don't enjoy or wish you hadn't done.

I agree that everyone wastes their time at one point or another. Not necessarily a bad thing.

What about time-killing (eg. to stave off boredom)?

i get the feeling those people are pursuing the mighty dollar or euro, or argentine peso, which in my opinion is wasting time, so I guess it's all relevant... I mean, I have a chronic illness, I stillupdate my site daily, I write for numerous publications and I'm trying to write a thesis, but the goverrnment considers me lazy and is trying to kick me off my benefit...go figure.

I try not to waste time because enough of it is wasted by other people.

Why would wasting your time be a bad thing? It is your (or my) time and I can do whatever I want with it.

You can do whatever you want with your time of course.

They are absolutely alien to me. Sort of a superior form of life to which achievements I could/should never aspire to. I wonder if my brain is structured in some parallel way not analagous to theirs
