Ripping up bits of paper

It just struck me that my new job, like any other, gives me the right to rip up some bits of paper, but not others. Although I have the feeling that this jobs will increase exponentially the number of pieces of paper that pass through my hand, thereby increasing the confusion of what pieces of paper I'm allowed to or should rip up, and which ones I should treat with care.

I should say at this point I have never had, but would certainly crave, a position which was purely dedicated to the act of ripping up bits of paper.

Some questions, then:

Who are the most influential, or funny, or simply shocking, ripper-uppers in history?

What vital pieces of paper have you ripped up, either by accident or out of total blind fucking rage or regret, and why?

i worked as a, uh, "waste manager" once, and ripping up empty cardboard boxes is the only part of the job i miss.

In the made for TV miniseries of Steven Kings' "Langoliers," Bronson "Balki" Pinchot plays the world's most irascable businessman. When upset, he shreds napkins into tiny strips, inducing a semi-catatonic state. So, him.

As a child I was obsessed with ripping up papers. Still am actually. If I throw some paper away, I will usually rip it up in a million pieces.

It is fun to rip paper. But ripping other people's post open is, sadly, frowned upon in our culture.
