I don't know. I mean, if a prison were to blast the sound of clown laughs throughout a prison ward constantly, I think a lot of the incarcerated would quiet down as well, wondering the fuck is going on.

they say that cats often purr when they're frightened, because it has a calming effect on them (it reminds them of the other time they purr, when they're happy).
