Maybe this is more just the younger ones, but my experience was always that tech-geeks were like the single biggest believers in traditional chick-hotness, and were basically all about those popular-girl / cheerleader / bikini-girl / Playboy-bunny types.

I always figured this was one difference between them and the more sour-grapesy indie model, which used to be that, what: "The mainstream won't have me, but I don't care, because I am cooler and more sophisticated than it anyway." Whereas the geek model would be more like: "The mainstream won't have me, and I'm not cool, but one day mwah-ha-ha I will be rolling in money and power from my phearsome BRANE and then giggling blondes with big titties will oil themselves up and wrestle with me atop massive piles of hundred-dollar bills."

This has probably changed, I guess. But at least when I worked in college IT that totally seemed to be the case, which I actually find kinda cool, in ways. Plus contrary to stereotype a limited few of them would fuck like crazy and in really weird ways, because, well, why not, etc.
