do you have an ilx "persona"? if so, how close is it to reality? did you always have it, or did it develop over time? masking on the internet: classic or dud?

I do talk in CAPITALS and exclamation marks wherever possible! However when I got nabbed by the Observer after a Magnetic Fields show to do an exit poll thing (WHEN I WAS STILL SHAKING LIKE THE DORKY FAN-GURL THAT I R) I relied on talking in capitals and p!o!p! but she didn't notice it. I sounded like a twat. I admit I would have sounded like one anyway but there ya go. I still think I was bettah than Neil Hannon.
I think my ILE persona will 'take things on' more than the real me in a pub talk would. At least with people I don't know that well. Also I think I am more AGRESSIVE (grrr) whereas meeting me first time in pub I may come across as more quiet and shy believe it or don't.

Computer nerd?! Cool?! Sorry, I have personal issues with America's new breed of Asian. I know it's probably the most irrelevant thing on this board. But check out the alternating-caps-as-hipness factor...
