budget muffin and cake mixes with the lovely old-timey blue and white boxes. i just made a double batch of their cornbread, which is actually a bit too sweet but never mind. i still love you, jiffy.

this strikes me as in the same category as my 1971 edition of joy of cooking, i.e. good, but if i actually used it with any regularity i'd be dead soon.

they do pizza crust mix, which i wasn't aware of until i just looked at their site. i'm very tempted to get their free recipe booklet.

I love those synthetic cheesecake mixes. They taste like they come from space.

no-bake cheesecake squares were the dessert staple of my university cafeteria.

i survived college because of jiffy muffin mix. corn bread. blueberry.

tip: in an act of desperation, eating blueberry muffin mix out of the box with spoon is not gonna be as good over the long haul as actually washing the pan and making the muffins.

perhaps "tip" should be "tip for the outrageously stupid... ahem... er... REALLY REALLY HIGH."

I remember having the jiffy blueberry muffins all the time when I was a kid, it was the nectar of the gods (it was also great to use as a pancake mix). It's been years since I've had any though.

i enjoyed stacking the little boxes when i worked nights at a supermarket. the my-t-fine pudding boxes were a bitch though.
