Inspired by the pigeon thread. My intro to Tom Lehrer was, like many people I would imagine, "Poisoning Pigeons in The Park". However this is now one of my least favourites. So, what songs brought you to a band/singer, which you now think of as their weakest?

shouldn't this be on ILM? anyhoo, I see a Darkness via the Johnny Cash cover introduced me to the work of Wil Oldham. I now have more Will Oldham records than is decent.

I first heard the Beatles via Yellow Submarine - but was generally disappointed by th rest of their stuff. Only Octopus's Garden really fits in with the Sub's masterful whimsy.
