What would you think if I sang out of tune;
would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a tune
and I'll try not to sing out of key.

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends,
I get high with a little help from my friends,
gonna try with a little help from my friends.

Do you need anybody?
I want somebody to love.
Could it be anybody?
I want somebody to love.

I happen to know that digmind is coming out with a new version of the DMC Xclef 800 early 2006. It will likely kick ass.

But it won't be called "DMC 800"... however, it is Digmind's update replacement of that model. It was supposed to be out late Nov 2005 but they're late.

I got a free Creative Muvo (64MB) a couple of years ago, which was really easy to use (you just copy the files into a folder, and that's it), but it was so small that it didn't have any buttons apart from play/stop/volume, and no display, so you never knew which track was coming up next.

My wife's got a Creative Zen Micro (maybe 5GB or something) which is much trickier to use (compared to my ipod). I can't really get my head round the software - tunes just seem to vanish - and the control in the middle of it that you use to scroll down/up and select things is so sensitive that it just keeps selecting things all the time and driving me insane.

Not bad but my Samsung was only £18 more than that and has four times the capacity. Doddle to use too.

Ah...it's gone back up to 80 quid.
