ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 14:45 (twenty years ago)

do cats count as people?

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 14:49 (twenty years ago)

one, at about half midnight. does that count?

i'll shoot you in the face later, if you let me.
i think that counts as a hug.

snowkitten (g-kit), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 14:49 (twenty years ago)

Do imaginary friends count as people?

The Hills Are Alive With Celibate Cries (kate), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 14:49 (twenty years ago)

Right now I'm at zero. When i get home from work I should be at zero and I predict that by the time I'm ready for bed I will have added zero hugs to my total.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 14:50 (twenty years ago)

cats do.
imaginary friends don't.

snowkitten (g-kit), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 14:50 (twenty years ago)

rules: humans only, and also real hugs. as opposed to ::hugs:: or fragging ones ass in CS:S.

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 14:52 (twenty years ago)

::cries::

The Hills Are Alive With Celibate Cries (kate), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 14:53 (twenty years ago)

I can't remember my last hug actually - I don't think I've hugged anyone for a good fortnight.

Come Back Johnny B (Johnney B), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 14:54 (twenty years ago)

humans only, PAH!

but does my 00:30 hug count as today? or did counting start at 0600hrs or some shit?

snowkitten (g-kit), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 14:55 (twenty years ago)

Three and one consoling pat on the arm. It's highly possible I am too tactile at work.

Anna (Anna), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 14:55 (twenty years ago)

None!

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 17:02 (twenty years ago)

Now four. It's a highly caffinated situation here right now. All bouncing off the walls.

Anna (Anna), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 17:05 (twenty years ago)

drugs not hugs

bob abernethy (Jody Beth Rosen), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 17:05 (twenty years ago)

I am still at zero.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 17:12 (twenty years ago)

2 so far, my dad and my little sister who came to visit me :)

Eva van Rein (Gaia1981), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 18:34 (twenty years ago)

Okay, now seven. This is getting silly. I haven't even left work and gone to the pub yet.

Anna (Anna), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 18:35 (twenty years ago)

no hugs, no learning, no tears

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 18:43 (twenty years ago)

I hugged my cats. And I hugged a friend who will be taking care of them. I hugged a giant bag of cat litter. The bagel shop guy wanted to hug me, which was weird. And when my plane lands tonight I will hug my brother. yaay :)

rrrobyn (rrrobyn), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 18:46 (twenty years ago)

i don't hug just anyone. therefore may hug no one today at all.

i'll report tomorrow though, someone special might come along.

nein Socken (nein Socken), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 18:47 (twenty years ago)

I have a feeling the first person I will hug today will be my brother, as well, as he arrives in Chicago this afternoon.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 18:50 (twenty years ago)

I kinda fear for the Christmas party at Anna's office.

I haven't hugged a soul today, but I did have a man half-sit in my lap.

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 18:51 (twenty years ago)

I have hugged one person today, the same person I hug most days. I avoided a hug from my boss as this is not something I appreciate in the workplace. Our office is probably a bit like Anna's with all the hugging, but I avoid it where possible. I am afeared of the Christmas party tomorrow.

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 18:55 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, I just hit eight. It's my last day in before Christmas and, as I'm freelance, those who aren't in before New Year won't see me for a while.

The Christmas party gave me so much pain the next day I started a thread about it N.

Anna (Anna), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 18:59 (twenty years ago)

none for me : ((

Cathy (Cathy), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 19:08 (twenty years ago)

One (1). I can't see this number increasing today, although I may shake some hands.

Jordan (Jordan), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 19:09 (twenty years ago)

i patted someone on the back today. i shook a hand. i also said, "good job" to a couple of underlings, who then smiled, and then i promptly fired them just to see their expressions. then i laughed and said, "i'm kidding! you didn't do a good job." then i laughed some more and high-fived myself.

gear (gear), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 19:12 (twenty years ago)

i like your style.

nein Socken (nein Socken), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 19:21 (twenty years ago)

Two or three? My parents and my husband.

Nathalie (stevie nixed), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 19:28 (twenty years ago)

one

[jailhouse tattoo] (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 19:41 (twenty years ago)

Just one, reluctantly. I am not a fan of office hugging, but people get so carried away around the holidays.

Lars and Jagger (Ex Leon), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 19:42 (twenty years ago)

None. I will probably hug my friend later on but he is not very affectionate in the morning. I am not a big hugger. But I have given out christmas cards.

isadora (isadora), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 19:57 (twenty years ago)

I have added zero hugs to my tally thus far.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 20:02 (twenty years ago)

If i see my relatives tonight, probably four. None since this weekend, tho.

kingfish holiday travesty (kingfish 2.0), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 20:08 (twenty years ago)

some start the inevitable parody thread already.

ryan (ryan), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 20:28 (twenty years ago)

how many people have you hanged today?

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 20:32 (twenty years ago)

how many people have you mugged today?

gear (gear), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 20:33 (twenty years ago)

how many people have you tugged today?

gear (gear), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 20:33 (twenty years ago)

Just one, the missus. I also rubbed lasciviously against her, reached up under her shirt and scratched her back, and suggested two (2) or three (3) lewd acts.

Then I ate some lunch.

I do feel guilty for getting any perverse amusement out of it (Rock Hardy), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 20:34 (twenty years ago)

Lunch ey?

Nathalie (stevie nixed), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 20:36 (twenty years ago)

Ah, I wish. No, just a bowl of soup.

I do feel guilty for getting any perverse amusement out of it (Rock Hardy), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 20:42 (twenty years ago)

Two friends, two family members, and a dog (repeatedly). It's been one of the huggiest days of … ever.

remy (x Jeremy), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 20:51 (twenty years ago)

(I hug you, Pikachu!)

remy (x Jeremy), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 20:52 (twenty years ago)

I got a hug two days ago from Maureen at work and a sleepy kiss this morning with a bit of arm-touching.

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 22 December 2005 10:18 (twenty years ago)

2 yesterday.

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 22 December 2005 10:49 (twenty years ago)

none, not for days.

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Thursday, 22 December 2005 10:51 (twenty years ago)

technically... 1!

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 22 December 2005 10:51 (twenty years ago)

the first hug I've had in... a while, actually

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 22 December 2005 10:53 (twenty years ago)

One. Will probably be three by the end of today. Maximum this week was five, on Tuesday.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 22 December 2005 10:54 (twenty years ago)

don't hug much these days

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 22 December 2005 10:55 (twenty years ago)

none. none for about 3 days. i'm going out tonight tho and it's my last day at work so i predict the total will be about 70 by the time i go to bed. i hug pretty much everyone.

sfx, Thursday, 22 December 2005 10:56 (twenty years ago)

I never knew hugging was so epidemic!

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 22 December 2005 10:57 (twenty years ago)

None so far, but someone is leaving today so might "squeeze" one in.

not-goodwin (not-goodwin), Thursday, 22 December 2005 11:00 (twenty years ago)

I'm getting a hug from everyone today because (a) it is my last day and (b) I have spent the morning shouting at my insurance company and trying not to cry.

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 22 December 2005 11:24 (twenty years ago)

i just deliberately avoided a hug.

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Thursday, 22 December 2005 16:47 (twenty years ago)

i come here to earn money, not have randomers invade my personal space.

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Thursday, 22 December 2005 16:49 (twenty years ago)

More of a kisser than a hugger, but it was three, yesterday.

M. White (Miguelito), Thursday, 22 December 2005 16:53 (twenty years ago)

yeah but theorry that was your chance to steal some deposit out of their money-maker.

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 22 December 2005 16:55 (twenty years ago)

she's really terrible, as a person. i dislike her.

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Thursday, 22 December 2005 16:56 (twenty years ago)

well that's different then

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 22 December 2005 16:57 (twenty years ago)

still none

not-goodwin (not-goodwin), Thursday, 22 December 2005 17:13 (twenty years ago)

none.

jeffrey (johnson), Thursday, 22 December 2005 17:15 (twenty years ago)

i had a hug yesterday!
i did, in fact, run into someone special.

nein Socken (nein Socken), Thursday, 22 December 2005 17:21 (twenty years ago)

I got a half hug last night from a friend who'd just returned from Afghanistan.
