So who here knows how to open London bus shelter poster frames in a non-vandalising (much) way?

Any tips on what tools are useful for opening the ones that aren't actually broken already?

crowbar.

That does seem like the easiest option...

One of those inverse allen-key things.

Hello Sunshine (Hello Sunshine), Friday, 23 December 2005 11:39 (twenty years ago)

are you adding kissing time posters, guerilla style, or just nicking pictrures of cute boys?

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Friday, 23 December 2005 11:50 (twenty years ago)

Wait for the man (or woman) that comes to change the poster, hit him/her on the head until they stop moving and pinch their keys.
Hey presto, no damage to poster frame.

I jacked a giant poster of a naked woman painting from the shitter of an MTL restaurant 2 weeks ago. I don't know where to put it, and I have to iron it. Karma's a dirty little ho.

The answer is, quite pathetically, Cute Boys. Specifically, Cute Boy Wizards.

Catty (Catty), Friday, 23 December 2005 12:04 (twenty years ago)

I've got pinched tube ones in my room. I dunno about busses - I would phone up the bus company and ask how they're decided on, who installs them, finally how they're opened, speak to the right person and claim it's for a project, don't be too obvious and it should work! But yeah, that may be more effort than you want to go to.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Friday, 23 December 2005 12:24 (twenty years ago)

There might even be a little sticker on the poster frame saying who maintains them.

James Ward (jamesmichaelward), Friday, 23 December 2005 12:30 (twenty years ago)

Or you could put your hand in your pocket, pop into HMV and purchase one of the many Cute Boy Wizards posters.

not-goodwin (not-goodwin), Friday, 23 December 2005 12:34 (twenty years ago)

oh man yes, phone up, saying someone vandalised the thing, then comes the repairman. sheep to the slaughter. follow not-goodwin's advice
