Hahah yes, I thought it was pretty rubbish myself. I dont even know some of the songs by by god his reviews were offputting. It was as if someone had forcefed Zach Braff with sugar syrup and Star Trek stuffed toys.

I'm sure terrible indie was better when I was 17, but I can't think of concrete examples, but surely I wasn't listening to anything as awful as Razorlight in 1998.

Nonetheless, if I got it, I'd be impressed with the boldness of the gesture but wouldn't like the tape very much.

At what age do comments like these (from either partner) stop being endearing? I know I got away with it then, but I think now it would just be laughable.

The Eisley song is the only one I've even heard, it's actually pretty good.

I think it's as endearing as when you were 17, but now that you have more great/not so great memories it kind of becomes background music.

My girlfriend recently told me that a song reminded her of me, but it's a song I've loved for years, so it didn't have as much weight as if I had heard/fell in love with it for the first time because of her.
