no, these are obviously something like the future

they are wireless and work w/ your phone too, it seems, and also have controls on the side so you can pause/play/skip tracks/etc so you can put your iPod in a zipped up pocket or bag, safe

wired head/earphones begone

shame these are ugly and don't look v comfortable and are expensive and called "iMuffs"

on the headphones above: my only experience with a macally product crashed my powerbook after an OS upgrade, because the USB driver I had to install shat itself and filled my hard drive to the brim with uninformative error logs. Seriously, 20GB of text, all of it the same line repeated over and over telling me something that wasn't even true.

So I'm inclined to hope that some other company, perhaps one with a better track record of producing audio equipment for Apple machinery (JBL or Belkin, I would hope) comes out with something like those.

More useless shit.

I use an old portable cd player case to cover my ipod, put in my backpack, then just use my regular bigger headphones, zipping up the bag so that there's a few millimeters left for the headphone wire.

It's not that hard. Also, I'll know *much* quicker if an extra stealthy backpack pickpocket makes off with the iPod, as opposed to being preoccupied with my iPod shadow macarena master moves at the bus stop noticing my wireless signal fade away minutes later only to turn around and go "Wha... hey!"
