Ex-"Packet of Three" comedy host and co-founder, along with Steve Coogan, of Baby Cow TV Productions. I read some poems by him in an anthology recently, and they were brilliant, and it seems that this guy is also behind some really great programmes: The Sketch Show, Mrs. Merton, Human Remains, etc.
So, classic for me.

This should have been - I meant it to be - a "classic or dud", by the way.

He used to live in the flat downstairs from me. Seemed a nice man.

I'm def a fan of Sketch Show, Human Remains and I'm Alan Partridge, so Classic from me for sure. Was he involved in People Like Us at all?

No, not People Like Us. He and Coogan used to run workshops in Manchester, teaching stand up to future comedians like Dave Gorman and Lee Mack.

As a stand up himself, he used to come on stage and say: "Thank you. You’re very kind. In fact, you’re more than kind… You’re patronising".
