A girl I was talking to at our NYE party trotted out this term to explain to me who Ryan Seacrest is. I liked it VERY much. Please name others.

Everyone from the show Jackass, but in a good way.

Ashton Kutcher, in a bad way.

I would be much more impressed if, while you were chatting to this girl at a NYE party, a team of professional douchebags had trotted by. In uniform.

Every anchor of every show on Fox News and most of their guests.

I've had a great time discovering Stephen Colberrrrrrrr whilst home, but the whole 25 quid to see J. Stewart read bits of Amerikkka the Book thing disheartened me slightly.

people who put the word "generation" on the back cover of their memoirs

'Twan (miccio), Monday, 2 January 2006 18:57 (nineteen years ago)

cut to thirty years from now when miccio's collection of music writings is entitled, Talkin' Bout My Generation and the back has a B&W pic of Miccio wearing a sportcoat and turtleneck, pointing at the camera, and grinning.

but that isn't on the back cover, i suppose.

gear (gear), Monday, 2 January 2006 19:08 (nineteen years ago)

i will buy that book, BTW

I suppose ILXors are amateur douchebags?

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Monday, 2 January 2006 19:12 (nineteen years ago)

I think corporate PR people as a rule fit the category. I'm thinking particularly of my encounters with Wal-Mart spokespeople and pretty much anyone working for a big-money developer.

xpost: yeah, you really have to get paid for it to count. doing it for free is just kind of sad.

emeril isn't a douchebag, i just find his lowest-common-denominator shtick really disheartening.

I agree, but if she were to step in on this guy's behalf to help him get his job back, I'd reconsider. (Thanks for linking to that at ILCooking, Jaq.)
