Warranties - C/D, S/D?

I just replaced a tire on my car this morning. Luckily, when I had purchased said tire a week prior to Thanksgiving (5 weeks or so ago), I got the extra Road Hazard protection warranty - 9 bucks per tire or something.

So, instead of having to pay around 100 for a new tire, I got it replaced for 12.50. Sears Automotive Centers RULE.

So, I know that Best Buy is perpetually attempting to make more money off of these things, but I really got the best end of the bargain this morning. Any other warranties you guys feel are necessary/good to have or worthless/to be avoided?

The warranty on our newest server at work - when we managed to blow the disk controller on the motherboard (for no apparent reason, all we did was plug a supposedly-compatible tape drive in), the service engineer was at the office first thing the next morning with a replacement.
