Did any one of you peeps notice that Robert Sheckley passed away? It was a week or two ago, I meant to start a thread but didn't get around to it. One of my favorite sci-fi writers- definitely one of the funniest, if not the funniest.

Oh, that's a pity. The Running Man was so ripped off the far superior The Prize Of Peril (though the film of TPOP was a bit rubbish).

I have little to no idea who Sheckley is, other than knowing he's SF related, but I do know that he's quoted in the sleevenotes to Amanda Lear's Incognito album, and for that the man has my respect.
