Okay, here's one I've always wondered: Does anyone else on ILE remember the kid's show "Big Blue Marble" from the 70s?

See: http://www.yesterdayland.com/popopedia/shows/saturday/sa1039.php

Glad to read the similar "I thought I was crazy until I found this site" testimonials from across the world. :)

I vaugely remember it, yeah. But yesterdayland.com = classic.

Yes, my brother and I used to watch it, and we had the album. I can still remember the songs. They had some sort of pen pal program, through which my brother hooked up with a kid in England who shared his admiration for the Six Million Dollar Man.

From what I remember, the theme song was really nice. Actually, there were two. "Closer, getting closer," the second one, was the one I remember; really pretty melody (others say the first was even better). The other thing people tend to remember was their dramatic serial "Witch's Sister", a great little mini-series about a girl who thinks her neighbor (a creepy old lady) is a witch and trying to turn her older sister into one.

two years pass...
Wasn't it part of the show zoom?

one year passes...
I was humming this theme song recently and I didn't know what it was. I barely remember this, but I'm pretty sure that I liked it. Was it on PBS?
