In any case, my chances of getting laid this weekend are better in ADL than Melbourne.

I'll come over some other time ;-)

My friend Ben in Melbourne used to be one of the kids in Round the Twist. Now he runs a juice bar, I think.

Chuck_Tatum (Chuck_Tatum), Wednesday, 1 February 2006 14:45 (twenty years ago)

Hello. I am in The Melbourne! I know the address, I shall ask my hosts for directions and such. SMS me as I will actually get it as I'm kind of without regular net-access and ting.

ed o, Thursday, 2 February 2006 10:00 (twenty years ago)

round the twist, ha! we used to HAVE to watch that in primary school. he'll do well in juice bars though, every second shop appears to be turning into one.

rez one-bagger (haitch), Friday, 3 February 2006 01:18 (twenty years ago)

I hearted Round the Twist. I do not heart juice bars. I may also be bringing my camera, but maybe not.

edward o (edwardo), Friday, 3 February 2006 01:47 (twenty years ago)

So, we're decided that 6pm tomoz at Prudence bar (which I still have to find out where the hell it is) is the go?

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 3 February 2006 02:19 (twenty years ago)

rez one-bagger (haitch), Friday, 3 February 2006 02:34 (twenty years ago)

I have to be at the Retreat at 6:30, which is half an hour away.

Also this whole 'not having money' schtick.

electric sound of jim (and why not) (electricsound), Friday, 3 February 2006 02:55 (twenty years ago)

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 3 February 2006 02:59 (twenty years ago)

Take the tram from Elizabeth Street that turns left at the Vic Market. Just before it turns right at Errol St. Get off.

Ask the Conductor if you need help. Oops!

S- (sgh), Friday, 3 February 2006 03:01 (twenty years ago)

I would be, quite literally, lost without this

rez one-bagger (haitch), Friday, 3 February 2006 03:13 (twenty years ago)

OK that gives me a general idea ta :)

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 3 February 2006 03:18 (twenty years ago)

electric sound of jim (and why not) (electricsound), Saturday, 4 February 2006 00:22 (twenty years ago)

I'm still assuming so! I doubt I'll be drinking, but thats fine with me rilly :)

Trayce (trayce), Saturday, 4 February 2006 03:18 (twenty years ago)

Yeah bitches, it's still on. Cait's coming, as is husky Dan.

Mike Stuchbery (Mike Stuchbery), Saturday, 4 February 2006 03:52 (twenty years ago)

electric sound of jim (and why not) (electricsound), Saturday, 4 February 2006 04:08 (twenty years ago)

And we'll convey icy beverages to your wobbling, clutching hands.

Mike Stuchbery (Mike Stuchbery), Saturday, 4 February 2006 04:11 (twenty years ago)

electric sound of jim (and why not) (electricsound), Saturday, 4 February 2006 06:04 (twenty years ago)

We will be a tad late, but then I am assuming everyone will be, and I'm sick of always being there first! ;P So I wont be this time =) Should be there by 7 if not sooner tho.

Trayce (trayce), Saturday, 4 February 2006 06:06 (twenty years ago)

I am leaving the house now. see you dere, suckas.

rez one-bagger (haitch), Saturday, 4 February 2006 06:06 (twenty years ago)

electric sound of jim (and why not) (electricsound), Saturday, 4 February 2006 06:08 (twenty years ago)

Apparently it'll take me 20 minutes. I'm going to eat something first, try to arrive a bit before 6:30 as I can never be early.

ed o, Saturday, 4 February 2006 06:28 (twenty years ago)

We're heading shortly.

Mike Stuchbery (Mike Stuchbery), Saturday, 4 February 2006 06:33 (twenty years ago)

I'm on a break at work. Just want to post and say I hope you will all have - or are having! - fun. Sorry to have missed you ed!

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Saturday, 4 February 2006 07:50 (twenty years ago)

electric sound of jim (and why not) (electricsound), Saturday, 4 February 2006 16:26 (twenty years ago)

I was not there and I cry. :-(

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 4 February 2006 16:26 (twenty years ago)

I share your pain, Ned. Melbourne is one of my favorite cities in the world. I drank some Cooper's Stout in honor of this FAP, wishing I was there. I hope you guys had a blast!

Chris K (Chris K), Saturday, 4 February 2006 20:22 (twenty years ago)

Hullo. See, what I said about my eyes always being closed in photos is truth! I am around today, and for the first half of tomorrow. Tomorrow I am going to continue my retail therapy in the city, I think.

ed o, Saturday, 4 February 2006 22:37 (twenty years ago)

OMG, that has got to be the first pub-based outing in MANY YEARS that I have gone to and not drank anything :/ (one weak G&T don't count). I am rather pleased with myself actually. We had great fun! Sorry we nicked off first - I really wanted dinner and I was worried (rightly as it turned out) nowhere'd still be serving by 9-10pm.

Was a great afternoon/evening, and you are all completely and utterly INSANE.

Photos soon.

Trayce (trayce), Saturday, 4 February 2006 23:48 (twenty years ago)

Well, then.

Here's Nick and Trayce, neither of whom are goths, at all.

Trayce (trayce), Sunday, 5 February 2006 01:24 (twenty years ago)

Amazing! And Jim, I got me the Tugboat albums today. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 5 February 2006 01:26 (twenty years ago)

electric sound of jim (and why not) (electricsound), Sunday, 5 February 2006 01:47 (twenty years ago)

the lighting makes dan's birdy-ing arm look photoshopped on

electric sound of jim (and why not) (electricsound), Sunday, 5 February 2006 01:48 (twenty years ago)

OK here be some of my pics, shrunk to manageable size but I have big versions if anyone wants'em.

Ed and Jim, both looking very handsome and smiley!

I managed not to get a pic of Haitch I have just realised because he turned up a bit later and I'd put the camera away due to battery going a bit dead.

Trayce (trayce), Sunday, 5 February 2006 02:05 (twenty years ago)

i need to work on a pose that makes me look less faetty

electric sound of jim (and why not) (electricsound), Sunday, 5 February 2006 02:15 (twenty years ago)

Sit closer to the table, Jim!

ed o, Sunday, 5 February 2006 02:17 (twenty years ago)

Keep your arms closer to your body. You're adding girth by having them like that.

She's been known to sleep on piles of dry leaves... (papa november), Sunday, 5 February 2006 02:20 (twenty years ago)

so much to remember!

electric sound of jim (and why not) (electricsound), Sunday, 5 February 2006 02:43 (twenty years ago)

Hire me to sit next to you all the time. People will be transfixed by the basketball under my shirt.

truck-patch pixel farmer (my crop froze in the field) (Rock Hardy), Sunday, 5 February 2006 02:49 (twenty years ago)

Jim I'm the same with my face - somehow I always angle my head in such a way I end up all jowl and chin. Kate tried to show me how to better angle myself in the pics she took but I find it hard to remember to do! :(

Trayce (trayce), Sunday, 5 February 2006 02:59 (twenty years ago)

Jim: Lean forwards instead of back. It makes the jaw look slimmer (And removes the chance of a double chin) and also makes the top of your torso look larger instead of the gut.

I've posted in this thread. World will end soon. Sorry.

PlayfulPuppy (playfulpuppy), Sunday, 5 February 2006 04:06 (twenty years ago)

I sain my mongrels don't dance
they just pull up their pants and
do the roc-a-way
so lean forward
lean forward
lean forward
lean forward

rez one-bagger (haitch), Sunday, 5 February 2006 04:17 (twenty years ago)

was that girl working the bar wearing pyjama bottoms??

rez one-bagger (haitch), Sunday, 5 February 2006 04:44 (twenty years ago)

haha i think so. she was quite the cutie as well.

electric sound of jim (and why not) (electricsound), Sunday, 5 February 2006 04:51 (twenty years ago)
