OK then, who's for the Brazen Hussies gig on Friday? (Apart from Dave Q, obviously). RickyT seems keen and I seem to remember some talk in the pub on Saturday about going.

Tom, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

But then you were all very very drunk, innit?

Emma, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yes, but - and here's the clever bit Emma - on Friday night we will also be drunk!

Tom, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

pah friday is out as always: why does dave q always play when i am unavailable? why haf we nevah been seen in the same room togethah? how good will i i mean he be if he knows he is playing to the massed ILx massif

mark s, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It depends - I have a nasty feeling I may not be paid on Friday and perhaps the rock music should not be my indulgence. Of course I will go straight to HMV and buy crap Japanese cartoons instead ahem...

Sarah, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Surely the Brazen Hussies do not charge back-breaking ticket prices? Friday is the only night this week where I can go out and have fun and I insist on doing something.

Tom, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Does anyone know where this is yet?

Sarah, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Firkin in Camden

RickyT, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Mmmmmm Firkin pubs, mmmmmmm... HOLD ON WHOT AM I SAING CHIZ CHIZ.

Sarah, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dude! I'm up for it.

DG, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've been trying to get hold of Living In Fear Of Reprisals for ever now, is it still available?

electric sound of jim, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You must make Dave Q sing about fairy-lights in a gruff voice.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I will not be able to make it as I'll be out with my French friend (and others) but I would like a report afterwards on whether Mr Q is in fact my doppelganger.

chris, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

But can you confirm that top Pye Disco Demand recording artistes The Javells featuring Nosmo King have been booked for the event?

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Would this be the Fusilier and Firkin? I haf GOOGLED yoo see.

Sarah, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

When does the gig start? My guts are shrieking for a pint.

Tom, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And why has the man himself not contributed to this thread?

DG, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Probably too busy rehearsing, I'd expect.

Still, it does sound interesting so I might come along. Always good to see what posters look like in the flesh.

XStatic Peace, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

There is a chance I may attend despite my head feeling like it's going to implode but only if I know where it is!

DG, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's at (I presume) the Fusilier and Firkin, in Camden. Where? 7 Chalk Farm Road. When? No idea, and it's not in any of the gig guides I've found online.

Tom, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

have you emailed the chief hussy?

mark s, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well 7 Chalk Farm Road = very easy to find. We could just meet there I guess and if it's absolutely gross/not even ON could easily bail out enough quickly to a nicer booZoR. Good Camden boozers though, let me think... I've only ever ended up in the Spread - which aint bad, although I imagine it would be packed. Please no-one suggest the Good Mixah.

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've been good, I've done my research.

DG, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dere god mang after a trip to the pub @ lunchtime getting out of this hell hole is extremely important FOR GODS SAKE when and where then. Fusilier @ 6? Is Camden good for curry? Why is no-one emailing me today? *weeps*

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I can answer Mark's and Sarah's questions at one fell swoop - my e- mail is fucked.

Tom, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

How does the above sound, then?

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Good for me. The Fusilier is at the Chalk Farm end of the road, isn't it?

RickyT, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well if its No.6 it will be the trafalgar Square end of the road - as anyone knows, this is the way streets are numbered in London.

I'm going to be ins the Spread at 6.

Pete, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Pete's right, it's at the other end.

RickyT, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hang on, are we meeting in the Spreadeagle or the Firkin?

RickyT, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Right email is fucked w/ everyone today apparently (RickyT I mailed you TOO did you not gerrit?) - Tom mailed me just as he was leaving and said he'll come to the Firkin first - if it's crap then a move on to the spread. I'll be popping to pick up a MY BLUDDY VALENTINE rekkid from Berwick St first and then the Firkin as agreed. If it's foul, we'll move on. My phone is dead again so we can't text you lot to come and join us if it's alright.

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hold on, you lot confused me. Is it at the end nearest Camden Town tube?

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh dear Sarah cos I have texted you. Why does Technology let you down on a Friday of all days?

Emma, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well it's in that state where I may be able to pick it up but any messages will be very TERSE ie 'john snow wnf'. Person messages back saying 'when?' *battery makes annoying LOW sound* fuck fuck fuck text back 'Now'! GRRR predictive text screws up when in a rush it is a FACTOID.

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Actually no fuck that it is dead. Oh well I will see Tom at the Firkin and probably you lot later then, if you are set against coming down.

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's at the south end of Chalk Farm Road, which means it's roughly half way between Camden Town and Chalk Farm.

RickyT, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sarah, are you leaving now?

RickyT, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm almost certainly coming, but be gentle with me, I'm not feeling too good. I'll just make my way to the Firkin, probably for about 8- 8:30.

DG, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

B-b-but Tom said he would see me in the Spread. I don't want to spread myself too thin. Oh well. One or 'tother I guess.

Pete, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

In probably about ten minutes (5.10). I have to wait till my boss leaves and I can't see her staying late. If she DOES (then she is eeevil) I will pop straight up to Camden. If not I'll be off about then... although I did put till *quite late* on my timesheet gulp.

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You see why I couldn't tell you over the phone? She was sitting in the office right next door with the door open!! :)

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh GRR I thought it was right next to Camden tube else I would have just said Spread as well.

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hmph. If you're still reading this, I lied. The bitch is here to stay and SO, chiz chiz, seem I.

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Arse.

RickyT, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Okay it is 17.30 and now I am going hurrah cheers cheers! See you soon!

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And where did you all get to, pray? I was sat on my own in that Firkin pub for nearly 3 fucking hours.

DG, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"Yes yes but what did you think of the PLAY Mrs Lincoln?"

mark s, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

aaaaaaaaawwww, poor deeg. i hope the rest of you are suitably red- faced...

CarsmileSteve, Saturday, 19 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I was bored last night and downloaded some of the songs. On that basis I would have gone to see them.

Ronan, Saturday, 19 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

No reviews of the show yet? ANSWERS.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 19 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dave Q has smited them all.

N., Saturday, 19 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

fritz, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

We could tell you but we'd have to kill you afterwards.

Emma, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It sounds worth it.

mark s, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ah but we would have to kill you all in a particularly unpleasant way.

Emma, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

can you go into details of torture so that i can wank over them. cheers.

XStatic Peace, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

this thread is remarkably quiet today. where is q anyway?

gareth, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

chris, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

hmmm. is Xstatic Peace not so much at peace with the world when not, ahem, high then?

katie, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

He doesn't look ANYTHING like you.

DG, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Q: taked sides devo vs kw already today (he picked devo since kw have bicycles)

mark s, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

There's clearly a conspiracy afoot to keep The Truth from The People. Somebody call Oliver Stone. (You all need to be grabbed by the lapels and given a good shake. "WHO got to you? WHO?")

fritz, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've heard of worse reasons. Tell him to get his butt over here.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

We're witnessing a cover-up of Pretzelgate proportions here.

fritz, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

They'll be saying its "CLASSIFIED" information next. We won't know for 30 years, when we can access teh files due to the F.O.I act. It's like that robots vs. dinosaurs thing again.

jel, Monday, 21 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's like that robots vs. dinosaurs thing again.

FITE.
